Mothers Month Special : 'My Mom is cool!'
Kickstarting Mothers Month here on The Times Of Amma, is Megha with an ode to her mother!
Who ever said that being a mum and a career woman is a tough thing to do, because I have grown up watching my mom manage it like a walk in the park. She is a career-oriented woman who never missed a PTA meeting or dance performances or Karate class and always made time for family. I can talk to her about anything and I know that she won’t freak out, because like my friends say, my mom is ‘cool’. Mum recently won ‘Employee of the year’ award. She is a badminton champion, a drama-enthusiast, a writer, a translator, an amazing cook, a voracious reader, a great friend, a loving wife, a perfect daughter and an even more perfect daughter in law. She is a multi-faceted, highly knowledgeable and highly qualified individual, basically, everything I want to be!
However, what amazes me the most is how she never stopped being ‘Nipuna Sudha’ for a second and never let go of her identity no matter what! She never let anything slow her down and remained true to herself and her character. That to me is the biggest lesson from her, to never forget who you are or what you are capable of no matter what.
